INTRODUCTION
If you had a name like mine, wouldn't you be curious about your origins?

Musical Accompaniment: This
page: Edvard Grieg, (1843-1907) "Holberg Suite, Prelude
I", grieg_holberg_preludium.mid; For Outlines I & II & III:
Claude Debussy (1862-1918) "Claire
de Lune", debussy_clair_de_lune.mid; both pieces from: www.Karadar.com
I would have preferred "Phantom of the Opera" (a
wild rendition) or the piece from Dvorak (History pg.) or the disco piece:
"Getdown" or any of the music from the
Blues Brothers movies--great stuff; however, this is a "library",
so I'll stick to the quiet music so people can concentrate.

Purpose of the Project
March 1994: The project started out as a simple task. I
decided to keep a log of all the names that I came across so that when I found my
ancestor, I would have a record of some of his relatives. As this grew, I started to keep a small database
of the names. (By 1997 I had well over a 1000 names.) Well, years have
passed--and I still haven’t found William Fazakerly's family.
February 2001: When this huge log of names reached
nearly 6,000 entries (which were obtained the hard way, by ordering film and
visiting libraries) I went online. I had hoped someone would be able to help me
when they saw the material online--and maybe I could help them as well.
March 2002: Access to the Internet and great friends like Malcolm
& Dave have allowed me to add thousands of names in just a short time.
November 2002: There
are now 9,669 names. Incredible! I still haven't found information on my
ancestor, William Fazakerly. He "disappeared" sometime after 1860 and
almost all records were lost in the Chicago fire of 1871.
June 2003: Well, I've now reached 10,027 names--another 358 names since
November. I have some ideas about my Ancestor--but how do I prove it? How
do I prove that the William of Liverpool & New York is the same man of
Chicago & Memphis?
December 2003; With a lot of help from a friend, Stephen Cook--and
others--I've managed to get to 10,343 names. I plan to take a break from
research for a while, but I'll will continue to respond to
e-mail and try to help anyone I can.
February 02, 2004; Another source of wonderful help from Isobel Woods has
allowed me to bring the total number of entries up to 10,546. Amazing.
August 27, 2004; Another 607 items added. I have a lot of people to thank
for sending me information.
October 12, 2004, total, 11, 209 entries.
December 05, 2005, total, 12, 005 entries.
Happy Hunting,
Billie

Outline IV MALCOLM'S REFERENCE SECTION
If you do not find your ancestor in Billie's Database, you may wish to check
the additional records provided by Malcolm Hulme.
Malcolm's generosity and wealth of information deserved
it's own space. There are a lot of very interesting items to read in addition to
his files.

Reference Section
Visit Malcolm's ancestors at his own web page: (1/17/2003;
sadly, this is Off line at the present time. The
picture gallery alone was fascinating.)
However you can still e-mail him at: www.Malcolm@Gulberwick.com

Outline V DAVE'S ARCHIVES
Dave Fazackerley is my inspiration. He is the reason my
site exists. More information can be found on the Fazackerleys (all spellings)
and it is presented in a delightful way. Dave's site is full of wonderful and accurate
historical items.
www.Fazackerley.co.uk changed
Jan. 2004; was Fazackerley.net
(1/17/2003; Sadly, Dave deleted his forum, and hopefully he will bring it back
someday. You can still "post letters" to him via e-mail.)
