BOOTH FAMILY of CHESHIRE Both the Booth and Fazakerley names are of ancient Lancashire origin. The
Booths, subsequently earls of Warrington, trace their ancestry uninterruptedly
in the male line to Adam de Booth who lived at Booths, near Worsley in
Lancashire, in the late twelfth century. Even though there are a few Fazakerley/Booth connections listed in my database, none is earlier than 1830. I even have a Fazakerly cousin who was given the name “Booth”, though he was named after a family friend, not a relative. Trying to make a Fazakerley/Booth connection prior to 1830 has been proving very difficult to date. So the hunt is on. Should anyone find a connection with any Booth, or indeed the Booth family listed below, please let me know. Billie Fazakerly Harrison
